Office Outlet is previously known as Staples is now operating as a separate business to Staples UK Limited, which includes Staples Online website and telephone order line, and Staples Advantage.

The problem

  • Office Outlet needed a new website design to fit their new brand. This would include a store locator page and other pages to showcase current offers in stores.
  • Office Outlet also wanted showcase careers in store and allow users to submit applications online.

The Solution

We proposed a custom theme for WordPress. We chose WordPress because it’s a powerful content management tool that allows clients to easily edit their site as and when they wish, without getting a developer involved.

We then created a store locator form which the user will insert their address or allow the site to access their geolocation and return the closest store to them.

To include careers page on the site, we used a plugin called WP Job Manager. This did the basics for us so we could focus more on the application process once the user submitted their CV. We extended this functionality by creating a custom job area for the Office Outlet administrative team. This allowed them to easily send possible applicants to the regional store manager for the submitted job region.
